The collection contains 210 separate files documenting the progress of the BaCE program from 2015 until January 2019. Items include resources and data for review by the committee in the development of topics, evaluations and terminology for workshops and other programming. A portion of the collection includes committee meeting minutes.

Biographical / Historical

The Building a Community of Equity (BaCE) Program was established on the WSU Vancouver campus in 2018. Its educational strategy for WSU Vancouver staff, graduate students, faculty, supervisors and administrators is a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion designed in the promotion of an ethical and socially just society. BaCE facilitates courses and workshops for the campus community to acheive a set the objective.

80.0 Megabytes (216 files in 46 file folders. ) : These are born-digital files. Original files consisted of items in the following formats:.DOC, .DOCX, .PDF, .PPTX, .PDF, and .XLSX. The files have been normalized to the PDF format for access.

Abstract

The collection consist of digital files created by and for the WSU Vancouver Building a Community of Equity (BaCE) committee between 2015 and 2019. Contents include meeting minutes and documents shared at meetings. Files in the collection document the formation and early growth of the BaCE program at WSU Vancouver including email communications, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, articles, and slide presentations.

Arrangement

This collection is arranged chronologically by meeting date. There are also two undated folders, one containing assorted undated files and the other containing materials used in the creation of a library guide for the BaCE project. There are 46 total folders listed in the contents list.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The digital files were transfered to the Archives on behalf of Sue Phelps, Librarian from the WSU Vancouver Library. Phelps served on the original BaCE committee from 2015-2019. The collection was accessioned as UA-WSUV-2019-009 and is located as a part of the Digital Records (DR).
