Scope and Contents
The videos are inclusive of dates from 1988 to 2007 with the bulk of the materials being from the mid-1990s to the early 2000s. The scope of contents vary widely and include videos featuring the history of Washington Higher Education Telecommunications System (WHETS), WSU Vancouver groundbreaking at Salmon Creek, recordings of local news reports featuring the campus move from Bauer Hall, a memorial in remembrance of Dr. Lori Irving, and early campus events broadcasted by Clark/Vancouver Television (CVTV). Conditions Governing Access
Access to the tapes are currently restricted. Because of the obsolete nature of the VHS tape cassettee format and the fragility of the materials, the tapes are not available to play on VHS players or other devices. The videos are being considered for digitization and will be available to access for research once this reformatting is completed.
