The documents contained in this collection were gathered from numerous sources over the years by the WSU Vancouver Library. The overall theme of the collection is the history of higher education in Southwest Washington used for documenting the establishment of WSU and four year university in Vancouver, Washington. Items include a brief by the Four Year College Association dated 1966 and a brief for the State of Washington to locate its next four year college. Other information includes the Southwest Washington Joint Center for Education planning for higher education, WSU Vancouver Advisory Council and founding legislation for the establishment of Southwest Washington Joint Center for Education and the WSU Vancouver branch campus.
