Scope and Contents
The collection consists of agendas, letters, minutes, proposals and other items from the meetings and correspondence of the Washington State University Vancouver Council of Faculty Representatives (CFR) and its predecessor, the Faculty Organization Executive Committee (FOEC). The majority of items in this collection originated under the FOEC. The records are dated from 2005 to 2016 and are sporadic from year to year.
Records contain the general business of faculty governance on the WSU Vancouver campus. Proposals and letters primarily concern General Education program requirements at WSU Vancouver and the separation and transition of the Digital Technology and Culture (DTC) program from the English Department to an independent program, Creative Media and Digital Culture (CMDC).

Biographical / Historical
The Council of Faculty Representatives (CFR) serves as faculty governance for the Faculty Assembly (FA), formerly the Faculty Organization (FO), on the WSU Vancouver campus. In the Fall of 2016, the governing body changed its name from the Faculty Organization Executive Committee (FOEC) to CFR.
According to the mission and bylaws of the Faculty Organization as of February 8, 2013, "[t]he mission of the Washington State University (WSU) Vancouver Faculty Organization (FO) is to provide a faculty voice in matters of interest to the WSU Vancouver faculty. The WSU Vancouver FO adheres to WSU Vancouver’s and WSU’s mission, values, and goals. It is the responsibility of the WSU Vancouver Faculty Organization Executive Committee (FOEC) to serve as a representative of faculty in the FO. The FOEC, as a representative voice of the FO, participates in shared governance with WSU Vancouver administration, WSU administration, and the WSU Faculty Senate."

Abstract
The collection consists of agendas, letters, minutes, proposals and other items from the meetings and correspondence of the Washington State University Vancouver Council of Faculty Representatives (CFR) and its predecessor, the Faculty Organization Executive Committee (FOEC). The majority of items in this collection originated under the FOEC. All of the files in this collection are born digital.
Arrangement
The collection consists of 312 digital files and is a part of the Archives Digital Records (DR). These digital files are grouped as series in file directories with a sub-series of chronological dates by year in sub-directories. Files retain the original file names. The collection inventory provides a brief description of each file followed by the file name and extension. Files are dated but not necessarily in chronological order.
The arrangement by series is as follows:
Agendas - Includes agendas for meetings from 2006 to 2016 (no agenda file for 2008).
Letters - Consist of letters in support or dissent of Vancouver General Education (GenEd) requirements, the establishment of the Creative Media and Digital Culture (CMDC) program and the WSU budget as it pertains to WSU Vancouver. Dated from 2008 to 2011.
Minutes - Drafts and final approved minutes from 2007 to 2016.
Proposals - Contents relate to approval of proposal procedures as well as proposals relating to CMDC, Accounting and Business program expansions, Neuroscience program and professional sales certificate. From 2005 to 2012 (no folders for 2006, 2007 or 2010).
Uncategorized - Consist of miscellaneous documents. Some of these pertain to changes in bylaws and CFR constitution. Additional subjects include Washington State legislature and budget, the Faculty Organization Executive Assembly and Faculty Organization Executive Committee. The records are sporadic between 2008 and 2015 (no folders for 2010 or 2014).
Additional file surrogates and preservation masters are stored on preservation drives in the Archives and Special Collections.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
The digital files were aquired from CFR Chair Michael Berger through a transfer in 2018 (UA-WSUV-2018-007).
