The collection is open for research use. Cotents consist of born digital files in mp3 format. Files are contained on CD (compact disc) and are also part of the Archives Digital Records. Files are restricted to in house use only. Duplication of audio files is prohibited due to copyright restrictions.
Biographical / Historical
The Associated Students of Washington State University Vancouver (ASWSUV) was established as a student government organization shortly after the official opening of the WSU Vancouver in 1989. In its capacity as a student government, ASWSUV's mission has been dedicated to providing the students of Washington State University Vancouver (WSUV) with a unique student life experience through advocacy, leadership, and activities. The organization of ASWSUV consists of an elected executive body and senate chosen by the students through election and vote. ASWSUV budget funding to campus clubs and organizations, impliments programs that benefit students and advocates for student life on campus and student needs.
The ASWSUV Hour began airing on KOUG Radio in the Summer of 2009. The show appears to have had a brief run, leading up to the Fall semester. The ASWSUV Hour hosts consisted of members from student government and was sometimes guest hosted by the VanCougar's (student newspaper) managing editor and KOUG Radio's station manager.
KOUG Radio is a WSU Vancouver student run radio station established in the early 2000s. The station is coordinated by the Student Media Board.

Abstract
The collection contains eight episodes of the ASWSUV Hour, an hour long show featured on KOUG Radio. The shows were produced in 2009 by members of the Associated Students of Washington State University Vancouver (ASWSUV). The show's contributors include Michael Hatch (PR Director for ASWSUV), Cara Cottingham (KOUG Radio station manager), Robert Chu (ASWSUV Senator Chair Pro-tempore), Matthew Rafano (VanCougar Managing Editor) and Nick Ferderer (ASWSUV President). The weekly programs (aired on Thursdays) included news from student government, announcements, information on campus and community events, colloquial discussions and comedy.
Arrangement
The ASWSUV Hour collection consist of eight separate digital files. They are arranged by episode number and original airing date.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
The files were originally discovered in 2016 among miscellaneous discs. These were possibly part of the early formation of the Archives when digital content on discs were transferred from numerous sources on campus. The collection was accessioned in 2018 (UA-WSUV-2018-010).
