Biographical / Historical
WSU Vancouver Cru was established to provide a meeting place for Christians that desire to get together, to know each other, support one another, service the campus and to love others as they follow Jesus. Cru is a worldwide interdenominational ministry that reaches out to college students. The WSU Vancouver branch is affiliated with PDX Cru, a network of college students, Cru staff and volunteers who are passionate for Jesus Christ on college campuses in Portland, Oregon. Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) is a worldwide interdenominational Christian ministry that began in 1951.

Abstract
The collection includes digital images documenting CougCru events in 2015-2017. Materials include event photos and flyers from 2016 Snowshoe Trip, City Wide/Imago Dei event, Weekly Meetings, The Skeleton in God’s Closet event, Portland Citywide Cru, Cru BBQ, Cru Hike 2016, Citywide Cru 10/06/2016, Cru Christmas Party, Game Night and a Facebook flyer. The donation was received as part of a Diversity Council grant project conducted by the WSU Vancouver Library to encourage representation of diversity from student organizations and to document diverse groups as part of campus culture and history. The collection is a part of the UA-WSUV-2017-004 accession.
Arrangement
The collection is arranged in two series.
Flyers: Event flyers covering events from 2016-2017.
Photographs: A documentation of functions and activities in 2015-2016.
This collection contains digital files arranged on CD.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
The collection was donated by representatives of the CougCru student organization. The donation was part of a Diversity Council grant project, which focused on outreach to student clubs for inclusion in the campus archives. The collection was received in 2017 (UA-WSUV-2017-004).
