Historic Newspapers Collection
This collection contains a number of newspapers as well as magazines ranging in date from 1929 - 2004. The newspapers document a number of historical events including World War II, the John F. Kennedy Assasination, the eruption of Mt. St. Helens, the Chicago Worlds fair, as well as a number of local and regional events. The condition of the newspapers vary and they are meant for research purposes only. Consult with archivist if needed for display.

Student research papers from the 2017 History 469: Seminar in History course held on Washington State University-Vancouver campus. The course was taught by Dr. Laurie Mercier during the Spring semester in 2017 and was part of a capstone for students. The class focused on public history themes and student research mostly features history in Clark County and more broadly the Northwest.
Things We Find in Books Collection
This collection consists of different items that have been found within pages of books donated to the Washington State University Vancouver Library. Some of the items include postcards, letters, newspaper clippings, ribbons and photographs. These materials were collected over time by the WSUV Archives and Special Collections, and acquired from numerous departments and student organizations on campus.
