The collection includes architectural drawings, plans, specifications and an index of Day Walter Hilborn's designs. Many of the drawings were created for buildings and houses in the Vancouver, Washington area. Approximately 5,000 plans (items) exist in this collection with hundreds of projects. The collection contains organizational files from the Center for Columbia River History. Most of the records are working files and drafts produced by Laurie Mercier, PhD., history professor at Washington State University Vancouver.
