Scope and Contents
Washington State University Vancouver Digital.Pubs include campus publications that have been identified as born digital or once published on WSU Vancouver’s website or distributed through email. These digital files have been acquired from a variety of sources through the years. Some of the publications have been transferred from CDs and floppy discs as transfers from university departments or donated by individuals. Others have been accumulated by the archives. In 2018 the Archives and Special Collections began arranging and describing these digital files as archival items and created this finding aid. The date range for the collection is from 1999 to 2018 with dates varying from publication to publication. Additional titles, dates and volumes of publication may be added in the future.

Biographical / Historical
The collection was created in 2018 as an effort to preserve born digital publications transferred to the Archives and Special Collections. Publications were produced by WSU Vancouver departments and campus organizations. The collection includes publications distributed through email or that have been donated as archival materials. In many cases the publications are ephemeral and some are no longer active on the university’s web site. Some of the publications in this collection were accumulated by the Archives and Special Collections since the beginning of its operation in 2006.

Abstract
This collection includes Washington State University Vancouver publications distributed electronically through campus email and websites. Materials range from department newsletters, campus maps, student publications, alumni reports and other publications.

Publications in Digital.Pubs are arranged alphabetically by publication title.
Existence and Location of Copies
Copies for access are almost exclusively in the PDF or PDF/A format. In some cases, web page newsletters or publications distributed by email have been converted from web based formats and preserved as PDF or PDF/A. Files are saved on a CD/DVD for primary access. Contact archives staff for availability. In 2022, the Digital.Pubs collection was added for preservation and access on the Archives and Special Collections cloud service.
