Historic Newspapers Collection
This collection contains a number of newspapers as well as magazines ranging in date from 1929 - 2004. The newspapers document a number of historical events including World War II, the John F. Kennedy Assasination, the eruption of Mt. St. Helens, the Chicago Worlds fair, as well as a number of local and regional events. The condition of the newspapers vary and they are meant for research purposes only. Consult with archivist if needed for display.

The collection consists of papers, communications, course notes, ephemera, administrative records and other items compiled under the tenure of Jacqueline Peterson, PhD as faculty and department head of WSU Vancouver's History Department from 1994-2010. The papers were donated to WSU Libraries by Peterson in 2016.
